Earls Court Boat Show Great Success
Wow, what a ride! The boat show came and went in a blur of activity, getting ready, setting up, meeting lots of great people and then packing up again.
We extend our thanks to the organisers of the Boat Show and in particular to Vicky for inviting us along. Really great to see it at Earls Court again - its traditional home.
The amount of interest in our stand, great comments and helpful suggestions made by so many people, has put more determination and spring into our renewed efforts to find suitable museum premises for next year. (or at least it will do when we recover!).
A real highlight was the visit by our Belgian friends Rene and Katty (creators of the Amfibidiver), plus Rene's eighty five year old mother, who had travelled all night and across three countries just to see the show.
For years, we have tried to find any trace of an Eagle Floatplane, last seen in a UK article about twenty years ago, sadly, we had no luck. Guess what happened however when we were approached by a visitor - you're right - he has the only Eagle Floatplane in the UK to ever go on floats and he still has it. We hope to make arrangements to obtain this for the collection some time in the new year and he has a great story of adaptation and alteration to go with it. Thank you Robin.

Little Sub Still on its way
We have a great new exhibit on the way from Panama City, called Little Sub by its creator. This has been dogged by delay. First the underwater photo's were held up by the 'red tide' coming at the wrong time, then by paperwork. It missed the first ship and now it is on its way but engine trouble has forced the boat into dry dock.
The new ETA for arrival in port is the 24th of December. Tell you more when it gets here but it is a very simple but effective design.
